basically being abusive and downright nasty to someone - one of the problems with forums is that they're basically anonymous so instead of being polite as in a face to face conversation, some idiots use that as a chance to abuse others.Dave -

However on the previous forum there was occasional abuse that could get someone asked outside for a damn good kicking and that stuff really isn't acceptable and is liable to get someone put in the sin bin or barred outright.
We're all in this Surf thing together and should treat each other accordingly. Just cos you don't agree with someones point of view doesn't give anyone the right to kick them in the teeth. Thats what starts wars and there are enough of those already.

Agreed - I'm a mod on another forum and at 1st we had the odd troll starting flaming wars etc, however, by all working together we now have a nice place to visit and chill out.
our rule was 'banter' = good. abuse = kicked off.DaveComment
