  • KZN185 Oil Dipstick Q

    Hey Guys,

When I bought my '96 3.0TD Auto SURF, one of the little things I was told by the previous owner was that the current Oil Dipstick in it, was not the correct one and made sure I understood that and that I should keep an eye out for the correct one. But in the mean time the current dipstick when its at 3/4 between the low and full mark, the oil is supposedly at the "Full" level.

So for the past month, been keeping and eye out on ebay and the web, but no joy.

I'm was hoping / wanting is could another fellow KN185 owner measure their Oil Dipstick length and the location of the low and high markings, so that I can put my mind at ease that the location the previous owner told me was / is accurate.

And I guess while I'm asking, does anyone know where I might be able to source a replacement stick for the KZN185 ?

    Cheers
    Mark

It was nice up here yesterday, pi$$ed it down all day today though.

At least you got it done & did'nt leave them to do it, not sure craig would manage at his age.

I managed to get a new dipstick from Toyota main dealer, all they needed was the chassis number. Cost about £15.
