HILUXSURF PICTURE GALLERY.

USER GUIDE

General.

The HiluxSurf picture Gallery is powered by Coppermine Photo Gallery software version 1.2.1.

Use of this Gallery.

This Gallery is for pictures of HiluxSurfs and other offroad vehicles. Offensive material will be removed and users banned.

Users have the ability to upload their own pictures but have a limit of 1MB so that the webserver does not get full.

Using the Gallery.

When you first connect to the Gallery you will need to register as a user. There is no link to the Forum registration system so anyone registered on the Forum will still need to register on the Gallery.

· Click on the Register button and a box with site terms will come up, you will need to agree the terms and then once you have done this you can fill out the registration form. User names can be 3 digits or greater, passwords must be different to user name. A valid email address must be provided.

· Once you have registered you will be prompted that you have an active account, select continue and then you will go back to the main menu.

· Login using your user name and password.

· You will now see that the buttons on the left have changed to enable you to logout and change between user mode (for viewing) and admin mode (for creating personal albums).

· You can view the existing albums by clicking on the category titles and then the albums themselves. You can select individual pictures by clicking the thumbnail. Once you have an image on the screen you can see a slideshow, navigate to the next or previous image, rate an image, leave a comment etc. You can also email pictures to friends as e-cards.

Creating a Personal Gallery.

· Select Admin mode from the buttons on the left.

· Select Continue

· Select Creat/order my albums from the buttons on the top.

· Select New

· Type in the name you would like for the album in the text input box

· Select Apply Modifications

· Select OK

· Select Continue.

· You can now upload pictures by selecting the button on the left

Uploading Pictures.

· Select upload picture from the buttons on the left.

· In the main window you will need to select the album you wish it to go in.

· Select Browse and find the picture on your computer that you wish to upload (Maximum 1MB)

· Type in a title

· Type in a Description

· Type in any keywords that you want for people to search for this picture with.

· Select upload picture.

· The picture will upload and once complete you will be shown it.

Modifying Albums.

In Admin mode you can edit your albums, add new ones or re-order the album list display. (The order of pictures shown is set by the viewer using the buttons on the top left that show order by title, file name or upload date).
