  • Overdrive Button

Hi, I've had my 1991 2.4 for a couple of weeks now & have just started playing.

One thing I have noticed is that the O/D switch circuit on my Auto seems to be wired in the wrong way ?

Button in : "O/D OFF" light comes on

Button out : no light on dash.

But, button in it definately drives like the O/D is on.

Do I need to swap some wiring around ?

    Cheers,

    Steve.

    NO!

That is the way that it should be wired. The idea is that you run it all the time with overdrive on and if you need a bit of extra power going up a hill for example switch it off and it will drop the OD out a bit like changing down a gear with a Manual box.

    Rich.
If life's an uphill struggle then downhill from now on can't be that bad?!
