i dont like slowing down on long uphill drags.
i have pulled the same van with a 325td bmw
and there is no comparison.maybe ive been spoiled.
no way i can keep up with mates terrano 2.7,freelander2.0 or
        that new nissan pick-up thingy.
without the caravan its more than a match for them,
but it seems "when the going gets tough"
        ?????????????????????????

The more you mess with the engine the more it can go wrong. i wouldnt put extra strain on the engine just because your towing. A sports car can easily outrun a 32 tonne artic, so accept it!

            Andy,

You must remember that when you purchased your surf you bought
            QUALITY NOT QUANTITY

All your mates obviously don't enjoy driving their motors that's why they want to get there FAST!

            ENJOY YOUR SURF

              Torque

              You could try this:

              http://www.hiclone.co.uk/

It claims to improve torue and fuel efficiency. I'm planning to fit one when my baby arrives next month.
