What rating should I be looking for for axle stands? Halfrauds have got a set of 2 tonners at 13 quid just now, not sure if that'll be enough.

In theory 2T should be plenty, its what I use, but as Alex says no harm in going bigger, remember the 2T is for the pair so 1T per stand.

think i have 430mm 2t axle stands and they are fine for the rear and front axle as linked below
          https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/cax-...n-axle-stands/

for getting an axle stand on the chassis rail i use similar to below for the height 4t is well enough the truck is only 2t in its entire weight!

Yep I use Machine Mart a lot for tools and such things as axle stands, am lucky though as its only a 500 yard walk to the nearest shop, which is handy for getting a tool I haven't got to suit what ever job I am doing at the time.

best buying from machine mart as often they have promos on which is 20% off all clarke tools and stuff at the moment there is 20% off think it ends soon but you need to have registered. it does only apply to £50 and over but is it easy to spend over £50.
