  • KZN130 ECU Removal

    Hi,

Does anyone have a step by step guide for removing the ECU from a KZN130? I've checked the forum, but couldn't find anything.

I need to send it off for repair, it would be good to save a few pounds by removing it and putting it back in myself.

    Thanks, Keith

    1. Disconnect the battery/ies. (Optional)

    2. Open the passenger side door and remove the cill/carpet edge cover strip. (4 Crosshead screws)

    3. Remove the plastic nut and ECU cover to the side and beneath the glovebox/speaker housing. (10mm socket but it can be unsrewed by hand)

    4. Remove the four bolts (10mm socket) that secures the ECU to the side panel.

    5. Pull the ECU away from the panel enough to pull out the multi-plugs and remove the ECU.
